MANAGING DIRECTOR AND FOUNDER
JAISHIV KUMAR VIG(J.S.K VIG)
With over 42 years of leadership in mining and mineral industries, our founder has held senior roles across renowned organizations like Hindalco (AV Birla Group), Adani Group, ISPAT Industries, Hind Aluminium, and government bodies like MECL and ISRO. A postgraduate in Applied Geology from IIT Roorkee, his expertise spans from mine planning and operations to international trade, joint ventures, and policy advocacy.
He has led global teams in the acquisition, development, and execution of largescale mining projects across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and South America, and built end-to-end operations in coal, iron ore, bauxite, limestone, and diamonds. His work includes:
- Acquiring mining leases and securing government clearances.
- Developing mines from exploration to production in countries including Mozambique, South Africa, Iran, and Turkey.
- Driving international trade of raw materials such as coal, iron ore, and bauxite.
- Spearheading JV formations, mine takeovers, and project due diligence.
- Founding and managing exploration divisions, teams of geologists and engineers.
- Liaising with government ministries for policy alignment and regulatory approvals.
- Notable achievements include:
- Coal procurement for a 700MW Hindalco plant during challenging market conditions.
- Growing an iron ore export desk to 5 million tons and $300M in one year.
- Successfully establishing new mining leases and developing major bauxite and limestone assets in India and abroad.
- Holding leadership positions in FIMI, ICMM committees, and various government advisory panels.
Currently, he leads THIRDEYE Enterprises, driving strategic initiatives, team building, international partnerships, and
project execution—including lime plants in the Middle East and mining ventures across Africa.
